North Korea: About 200 Soldiers Die From Coronavirus and Another 4,000 Quarantined While Officials Continue to Claim Covid-19 Disease Did Not Flow Into the Country Yet

Almost 200 North Korean soldiers have reportedly died from the coronavirus, while thousands more are in quarantine.

The government won’t acknowledge they even exist.

North Korea has become one of the most troubling blind spots in the international response to the spread of the coronavirus.

There is no information about how the country has been affected by the virus other than the official version: “The infectious disease did not flow into our country yet.

Why no infections in North Korea?

Why do North Korean officials still claim there are no infections even at the border with neighboring China (where the epidemic started) and South Korea (which is suffering a major outbreak)?

That’s again a massive cover-up!

South Korea’s Daily NK reports that around 200 soldiers have been killed by the coronavirus and another 4,000 people have been put in quarantine. The report states that:

180 soldiers had died in January and February and that approximately 3,700 soldiers are currently under quarantine. The soldiers who had died were predominantly stationed on or around the Sino-North Korean border in North Pyongan, Chagang, Ryanggang, and North Hamgyong provinces.

The source also states that North Korea’s military is scrambling to control the spread of the coronavirus outbreak: “Future evaluations on battle readiness will include a review of how many soldiers have died and officers will be held responsible for the deaths that have occurred in their units.

Moreover, the Yonhap News Agency also added that:

North Korea has placed around 10,000 people under quarantine over coronavirus concerns and released about 40 percent of them as they showed no symptoms.

So what about the other 60%? Are they all infected by the Covid-19 disease?

Meanwhile Russia has just delivered thousands of coronavirus test kits to North Korea. What are they for as officials keep saying: “The infectious disease did not flow into our country yet.

This delivery of medical tests will help international aid workers to have a greater understanding within days of how the spread of the coronavirus has affected North Korea. More news about the coronavirus pandemic on Strange Sounds. [DailyNKYNAUSNewsBusiness Insider]
